Visalam – CGH Earth hotel

Visalam, a Chettinad heritage house now managed by CGH Earth, was built in 1939 by Chettiar merchant K.V.A.L. Ramanathan Chettiar as a wedding gift for his daughter Visalakshi. Located in the historic village of Kanadukathan in Tamil Nadu, this palatial mansion artfully blends Art Deco style with traditional Chettinad architecture—featuring Burma teak pillars, Italian marble, stained-glass windows, and handcrafted Athangudi tiles.
